The Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Ltd (RGRHCL) has launched a new mobile application which enables the user to check their beneficiary status and upload photos. The application can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. The RGRHCL will notify the applicant via SMS about their approval or rejection.

RGRHCL is a government body that provides housing to people from economically weaker sections of Karnataka. It was formed in 2000 and provides aid to those in need through its Nirmithi Kendras. There are income limits for beneficiaries. Applicants must be permanently resident of Karnataka, have a household income of at least Rs. 32,000 a year, and not be on welfare.

RGRHCL aims at providing cheap, durable houses to the poor in Karnataka. It also promotes sustainable building technologies in rural areas. To help with this, the organization has set up Nirmithi Kendras, which provide low-cost building materials and technologies. It also aims to make the entire process as smooth ahttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karnatakas possible.

The government has allocated Rs 2,500 crore in the current budget for the completion of housing projects. This includes both centrally sponsored and dedicated affordable housing schemes. The current budget also provides for a Rs 1,000 crore loan for the RGRHCL to complete its housing projects.
